My pal Dub-T wrote up a journal about an art thief going around and posting various drawings not done by his hand (redundant, I know). The jackass in question apparently keeps reposting the drawings right after they're taken down, and I just imagine its only a matter of time before he's banned all together. He's even gone so far to print out the drawings and take photos of himself "creating" various works. In this one ( broshojun.deviantart.com/art/C… ), it appears he's using a blue pencil to draw black lines. Real slick there buddy. Anywho, since I hate anime and don't follow really any artists who draw it, please report any drawings you recognize so he gets banned all that much quicker.
And now on to the assholes.
For once, TNA has actually done something smart and fired Bubba The Love Sponge (in the sense that they did hire the idiot to begin with). Bubba, a pretty terrible radio shock jock to begin with, was initially hired to be a backstage interviewer simply because he was a friend to Hogan (see: the death of WCW). Not only was he terrible, but he would seemingly go out of his way to piss off anyone backstage (the infamous time Awesome Kong punched him out for this "Fuck Haiti" comments). After being a particularly special jackass on the radio again (once again, to Kong), TNA promptly fired his sorry ass.
His response? Just say that things didn't work out and thank TNA for the opportunity to be on national TV? Golly no. He's gone on one of the bitchiest and most contradicting tirades the wrestling business has seen; and that's saying something. With all his comments about hating TNA, the wrestlers and the fans, wouldn't he be happy that he's out of there? Like I said, he's a shock jock (and a bad one at that), who simply has a fanbase because he tries to create as much controversy and yell and curse. We've all met this assclowns in life, they have nothing to say, but speak anyways.
In the Crazy Fans department, some idiot has threatened to blow up the WWE headquarters over the firing of Mickie James. Its like, she was a good wrestler, didn't get great treatment (the appalling "Piggy James" storyline), but that really doesn't matter if you keep the buses waiting on an overseas trip. This moron definitely wins the crazy fan award.
Oh yeah. Blah blah blah, getting drawings done, should have something soon to show or announce.

DEVIANTART FRONTPAGE 3(or more)
Every journal entry from now on, before I finish, I'll be taking a look at the deviantart front page, and select at least 3 images or writings to feature here. Show some love. Oh, and I encourage anyone to start up their own journal feature like this. It ain't about pageviews, it's about appreciation.

Thoughts, webcomics, and a character challenge
Let's get the fun stuff out of the way:
-Due to the second disc of Apocalypse Now being horribly scratched and keeping me from watching the second half of the movie (why split it Coppola, WHY!), I got to make the mistake of a free rental of The American. I swear, I didn't know George Clooney banging a prostitute could be so boring.
-On the other side of the coin, I liked Easy A far more than I probably should have.
-As an addition to my Art Theft Tips journal http://nightlink.deviantart.com/journal/38116901, I've discovered a site called Tin Eye http://www.tineye.com/ that searches for matches of images based on... the images themselves. I

-Quick note, anyone who has Manga Studio Debut, you can upgrade to EX SUPER CHEAP here: http://my.smithmicro.com/email_web/manga/v1_mangaex4_99/
The deadline is today, and you save $200.
-I report art theft quite often, but over the weekend, for the first time I defended someone who was falsely accused.
The couple of people who suspected had good intentions, but incredibly failed to do any research to prove their suspicions. Without getting into too many details, the issue was raised because the watermark didn't match the user's deviantART name. That does not prove art theft though (I've signed my real name and my deviantART handle before)
Devious Journal Entry
-So, I had no idea about Roger Ebert's cancer surgeries pretty much taking away his jaw.
I don't want to talk about that though.
I know the internet is filled to the brim with assholes and mental midgets, but man a good many of the comments on the news stories are just plain retarded. I'll isolate one:
[i]As "entertaining" as you people felt this man was, you can't ignore the karma in the situation. He spends his career passing off his opinion on what a good or a bad movie is, often very rudely and abrasively.....he's a critic! While i wish bad on no fellow man, one can't argue when someone who can cruelly denounce some guy's idea of art a
Some quick jib jabs
-Gah, bad drawing funk. Haven't even attempted this week. Maybe watching more Dirty Harry will do the trick.
-*FREE DEVIANTART USER NAME TIP!!!*
Under no circumstances should your name be a famous copyrighted character's name with some numbers or blatant misspellings thrown it. Nobody is going to care about supahsaiyensonichedgehog1443's crappy base. Ever.
-I get a free pass on the name. While I did name myself after Link from Zelda, I found out later a "nightlink" is a term for night time transportation over in England. Also, I don't posts gobs of Zelda fanart.

you know that you have a thief when a guy post a drawing of iron man and the only that he can say about it is how cool the second movie is...
Ever heard from a site called spill.com ? this reminds me of one of the shows on the site! If you like movies, you gotta check that site out!
